Web Management Group Signs M-ROCK as Newest Online Retail Client
Wheaton, MD – August 15, 2006 – Web Management Group, www.webmanagementgroup.com, a comprehensive web management company for small businesses recently announced the addition of their newest online retail client, M-ROCK, a Miami-based company that makes outdoor adventure camera bags and sells them online.
When Michael Rockwell, President of M-ROCK contacted Web Management Group, he was plagued with frustrations caused by the website service provider he was using. Project deadlines were continually being missed, and jobs were taking too long to complete. When Rockwell called for help during normal business hours, no one answered. In desperation, he began to search for a reliable web management company that would be there when he needed them. When he found Web Management Group’s website, it was obvious that WMG understood the importance of reliability to online retailers. So he called their 800 number.
“Actually, desperate calls like this are not uncommon,” says Guillermo Corea, President and CEO of Web Management Group. “Our clients continue to tell us about the many headaches they experienced with their former service providers. Online retailers need to have their websites up and running 24/7. If there is a problem or a change to be made, it needs to be dealt with right away. And to accomplish that, you need to be able to get help 24/7, from an attentive provider who is always available and who has the knowledge and experience to do the job.”
For M-ROCK, Web Management Group quickly mobilized a team of website experts to thoroughly analyze www.M-ROCK.com. Next, Web Management Group moved M-ROCK’s redesigned website to a staging environment before going “live” to troubleshoot any problems that would occur if the site were truly live. They tested the redesigned website as a user would to detect and fix any glitches. Confident that the site was ready to go, Web Management Group successfully launched the new M-ROCK website. Now Web Management Group manages all of M-ROCK’s website activities, freeing Rockwell and his staff to concentrate on the rest of his business without worrying about M-ROCK’s website.
“Web Management Group has been like a breath of fresh air for us,” explains Rockwell. “For many years M-ROCK was spoiled with an excellent web master. We assumed that affordable, accurate and speedy service was the norm. What a rude awakening we got when our long-term relationship with our web master came to an unfortunate end when he changed careers. Talk about flaky, unreliable and expensive web masters. There are thousands of them out there and companies like Web management Group truly are the diamonds in the rough. I strongly recommend their services.”

Web Management Group Expands into Dynamic Work Environment
Wheaton, MD – May 30, 2006 – Web Management Group, www.webmanagementgroup.com, a comprehensive web management company for small businesses, announces their recent move into the new Wheaton Business Innovation Center (WBIC), which opened officially June 1st in the Wheaton South Building at Westfield Shoppingtown Wheaton.
The WBIC is designed to provide small but dynamic, growth-oriented companies a stimulating work environment, support services a small business would not otherwise have, and the opportunity to contribute to the growth of the surrounding community.
“We were very excited to be accepted into the WBIC because of the services it will provide us,” says Guillermo Corea, CEO/President of Web Management Group. “We’ll have access to technical and other kinds of support, such as legal and educational services, usually only available in large firms.” The WBIC is a custom-designed center with state-of-the-art conference and meeting space, Internet access, and a shared workspace with copier, fax, printing and mail services. Tenants will also be offered educational opportunities such as business counseling, networking conferences and development seminars on-site.
“Surrounded by other start-ups and small, growing businesses, it will be a dynamic work environment,” Corea continues. “Though we’re all in different fields, we’ll be helping one another by sharing ideas, brainstorming, and offering encouragement. We’ll be our own support group of sorts.”
Admission to the WBIC is a very selective process. Candidates must first submit a business plan with financial information. The next step is an invitation to present their plan before the Tenant Review Committee, which then determines if the company is a good fit for the incubator environment. Web Management Group was accepted into the WBIC on February 24, 2006.
“We look for companies that have good job creation potential, who will stay in this area and contribute to it,” explains Jerry Godwin, Manager of the Wheaton Business Innovation Center. “We expect them to hire individuals within this area, and then, naturally, they will eat lunch here, shop here, and maybe even buy houses here.
“Web Management Group has already hired from within this area,” Godwin continues. “So, by investing in companies like Web Management Group, we are investing in this community as well.”
The Wheaton Business Innovation Center is the third in Montgomery County’s six-year-old business incubator program. First was the Maryland Technology Development Center in Shady Grove, and the Silver Spring Innovation Center was the second to be built. Each incubator is geared toward certain business sectors.
“The Wheaton Business Innovation Center is designed for non-technical, non-bio companies,” explains John Korpela, Director of Incubator Development for the county. “Most companies spend between one and three years in the program, and we’re finding it to be quite successful. Of the 34 companies that completed the Shady Grove program, 32 are still in the county, and have been responsible for creating over 1,200 new jobs. We expect the same success from the Wheaton Business Innovation Center, and Web Management Group will be a part of that success.”
